Available with single, double or triple outlets the Rotor Meters accurately and safely meter granular pesticides, fertilisers and seeds in controlled placement applications. The importance of accurately applying and effectively incorporating granular insecticides cannot be overstressed.
Stocks Rotor Meter applicators are designed to ensure application rate is uniform across the desired working width.
Where additional airflow is required a Rotor Meter Air Force version can be specified.
This versatile metered applicator is used across the agricultural, horticultural and amenity sector for mounting onto various host implements. The Rotor Meter is most commonly used to feed seed or granules into the existing pneumatic distribution circuit of a
seed drill.
With up to three gravity fed, metered outlets they can also be mounted to other planting and drilling machinery to precisely target seed/fertiliser or granules as required. In the amenity sector Rotor Meters are frequently mounted to smaller amenity machines to deliver seed or fertiliser. In each case the metering mechanism applies product down 1, 2 or 3 outlets up to 1.5m working width*. (* Dependent on mounting positions)
KEY FEATURES

Optional GPS or tractor speed sensing and variable rate control
CONTROL OPTIONS
Three systems are available Vari-Speed, JACKAL or i-CON. All units are supplied with a control console, connector cable and fused battery cable.
Extension cables are available as a cost option.
VARI-SPEED CONTROL

Vari-Speed provides effective, lowcost, manually operated electric control.
Vari-Speed is not linked to forward speed so once calibrated the operator drives at a consistent forward speed to maintain the rate, or can manually increase or decrease application rates on the move using the dial.
This motor can be instantly started or stopped at headlands. A dial control sets the feed motor speed and thus the application rate.
STANDARD
- Left hand switch - feed motor on/off
- Centre switch - metering roller high/low speed
- Right hand dial - metering roller speed control
AIR FORCE
- Left hand switch - Fan on/off
- Left hand dial - Fan speed
- Right hand switch - Feed on/off
- Right hand dial - Metering roller speed control
JACKAL CONTROL

The JACKAL is a simple compact controller which enables monitoring and adjustment of all key functions. The screen shows application rate, forward speed, hopper level alarm and fan voltage.
As standard the forward speed input is taken from the tractor 7 pin implement socket. The JACKAL can be fitted with a GPS speed input and in/out of work cut-off switch if required.
Uses the tractor 7 pin plug for forward speed signal and on/off linkage function.
- Large LCD screen and robust water resistant housing
- Quick easy set-up
- Simple accurate calibration for precise rate control
- Forward speed adjust rate control as standard with on the move adjustment
- High and low alarms for fan and metering roller
- Multiple trip counters and live data scrolling
i-CON CONTROL

Rates are automatically controlled in proportion to forward speed for ultimate accuracy. The machine can apply variable rates according to mapping data using a GPS based touch screen*. *subject to unlock fee
GPS sensor, hopper level sensor and on/off finger switch supplied as standard.
- 4.3” colour touch screen with four basic menu keys
- Seed application rate kg/ha or seeds/m²
- Pre-start - ensures seed delivery begins as soon as the drill enters work
- Rate nudge – on the move adjustment in pre-set increments
- Min/max forward speed (km/h) indicator with alarms
- Metering unit status (on/off) and alarm
- Electric fan status (on/off) and alarm
- Hopper contents (kg) and low level alarm
- Part, full job and grand totals for area (ha), product
dispensed (kg) and hours worked - ISOBUS compatibility kit available

OUTLETS

1, 2 or 3 outlets can be specified depending on usage. e.g a single outlet is used to feed into a pneumatic drill distribution system.
AUTO SHUT-OFF SWITCH

A useful cut out switch shuts off the feed roller when the machine is lifted out of work on the
headland. Standard on i-CON, optional on Jackal, manual on Vari-Speed.
METERING MECHANISM
The fluted feed rollers supplied are suitable for most products from ultra-low rate through to high rate applications. The rollers agitate the product to ensure a consistent flow. The speed of the feed roller is used to accurately control the rate at which the product is metered into the outlet(s).

Feed roller combinations:
A combination of 5mm small seed rollers, blank spacers and wide large seed rollers are used to build up the correct metering roller for the application rate required.
Calibration
An external calibration button is fitted as standard on i-CON and JACKAL models to enable the operator to start the calibration at the side of the machine.
To catch the product during calibration, remove the cover from the bottom of the outlet manifold. Place a suitably sized tub or jug underneath to collect the product as it is dispensed.
ROTOR METER AIR FORCE

The Rotor Meter Air Force has all the same features as the standard machine. However, the Air Force uses an electrically driven pneumatic fan to provide air assisted delivery of seed. A Rotor Meter air force can be used to introduce additional seed into the distribution circuit on an air drill. This requires the use of a Venturi (not supplied).
Being fan driven the unit can be mounted away from the seed inlet on the host machine, enabling easy access when calibrating and filling. The standard Rotor Meter has to be mounted directly above the inlet.
